[ There seem to be two Pokemon on this dispatch! You get a sense of both a Hisuian Typhlosion AND a Hisuian Zoroark, though the perspective is a little dizzying before settling down into (mostly) one psychic perspective. The Typhlosion's, probably; it's mostly his perspective with a vague sense of what he thinks he looks like now. Psychic pearls are hard, who knew? ]
Good afternoon, fellow passengers! I am Ingo, and this is Emmet - my brother.
[ So so smooth, it comes so naturally to introduce someone as his family member! ]
We are both from a world with Pokemon originally! We were humans there, and I'm afraid we do not have any idea how this might have happened - this is not the sort of thing that is supposed to be possible! But we would like to offer our help in navigating these new tracks! Between the two of us, we can help to identify your species and typing, as well as other facts about your new forms! We are also both very familiar with Pokemon battling! If you wish to learn to fight, we can provide assistance! I'm very excited to have battles in this new way, and the more people who can participate, the more fun it will be!
If you would like to speak in person, we are both in the Oran Berry Guild!
[ The perspective warps and shifts a bit, as you see Emmet moving forward, and also Emmet's own perspective as he does so. ]
β I am Emmet. What Ingo says is true! Yup! But also, we are willing to come to you if necessary? It would not be a good idea to start a battle near any housing, after all.
[ Emmet, it seems, is a man of much fewer words than his brother! At least when they're in the same space, anyway. His address is also smooth, very smooth, picking up after Ingo's like clockwork.
... for those who have already met them both and / or have heard at least some amount of their circumstances already, isn't there some kind of explanation missing? Oh well, must not be important. ]
(( Responses may come from either or both of them! ))

[Response to both]
You are from a place where Pokemon are commonplace? But it is not the same as this place...
[There's a brief flash of an otherworldly display, and the sense of the words, "Source? Shard? Not from ours. Maybe similar?"
But it's brief, as Firoza's getting more used to the Grumpearls and she can clamp down on the little thought outbursts a bit faster every time.]
Ah, apologies - please, I would love to know more about what I have become. Doctor Denne was kind enough to explain that I can produce poison, and I...I don't want to poison someone on accident.
no subject
[ though Ingo probably has more advice for post-exposure poison mitigation, not that Emmet necessarily knows that yet. ]

[Aaaaaa that is a major relief not even Grumpearls can convey how much of a relief that is!!]

Well, if you do, they'll only require a Pecha berry or two. Anyone who spends enough time with you will probably start developing immunity!
[don't worry about how he knows this!]
no subject
[There's just. A berry? That's an antidote? What?]
So I ought to keep berries on my person, then...? I don't - no one should have to build an immunity to someone else just to live alongside them. And. Um.
[She clamps down on the memory, but the emotions? Big anxiety, it just radiates off of her.]
I've had...bad experiences concerning poisons.

I know you already told me you aren't familiar with my species, but I do wonder if there's a way to determine my "type."
Apparently key-type doesn't exist.
video;
There is! [ a beat. ] It will unfortunately involve some trial and error. Mainly in terms of what kinds of attacks you do and don't find easy to endure.
[ aka you're going to have to get moves get thrown at you, A.B.A, if you haven't already had any experience with that. ]

[Although it...scares her that Emmet's explanation doesn't seem to horrify him as much as it does her. They really are brothers.....]
Regardless, I'd still like to perform at my full potential. Ignorance is not an excuse for lackluster performance.

SURPRISE ME-
...I guess learning to fight is something I should figure out sooner rather than later at least...
...I know I'm considered ground type- actually, all the salt water left a rash for my first week, I still have to be careful with too much water contact apparently. Uh...
...I don't really know the best place to go to learn about much of this though...definitely not my house...
[Did you want a mental image of where his house is on the map, you get a mental image of where his house is on the map. Him and the other two new Lum members have some sort of weird townhome thing at the outskirts of the city it seems. Looks a bit spirally, which is what happens when something made for a dragonite, a cubone, and a mimikyu all share walls.]
no subject
I am...not sure you ought to have that off...
[Is it bad for them? He's never seen a peeled Cubone in his LIFE]

It's not my mom's, I don't need to have it on..!!
[pay no attention to the brief after image of aN ENTIRE SKELETON]
It's heavy and makes it hard to see and it's only good as a helmet..!!

Hello- hello. Is this coming through?
[He puts down the book he's flipping through, and then the grumpearl itself (though he's more careful to make sure it doesn't roll away). a flash of the book's content comes through the link- it's an encyclopedia.]
You can call me Doc. I've done a bit of homework myself, but since you're offering your information- don't mind if I do.
[He starts counting on his fingers.]
Let's see... I know I'm a linoone. Linoone variant. Don't know the practical difference past... [mmmm, what was it-] types. Read up about abilities, but hell if I know how to determine that.
[Oops. Ran out of fingers.]
And moves. I've figured out at least one. Probably two. No idea how to figure out more. Haven't found any in-depth information on what moves variant linoone can do, either.
So if either of you know any more, it'd be much appreciated. Don't spare any detail. The more I can know, the better.
no subject
[The one more local to Ingo, anyway, even if they don't actually live as far north as Hisui. An image of that Linoone comes through anyway, though - a brown-furred kind with less of a, you know, Dark Vibe.]
no subject
Doc does not have enough practical experience with animals to know what that means.]
Right. Yes. Evolution. Yes, I've read on the possibility some, but that'd explain why there isn't a variant of it documented. Guess I won that coinflip.
...What is the advantage of evolution, anyway?
[Strength, sure, but strength is not always everything.]

Movesβ so far, I've mostly just figured them out by doing? Letting them happen rather than trying to overthink it too much. [ someone, it seems, is a bit of a kinesthetic learner. ] For Pokemon in general, a lot is instinct. A lot simplyβ comes naturally, typically, after enough experience in battle. Builds on previous foundations. Not always, though! Tutors can exist too.
Admittedly. I'm not sure that me already having a rough idea of what to expect affects things some. But I also told someone else to do what feels right and to not let their own expectations limit them. Pokemon are capable of a lot. I can explain general dark and normal type trends if you want?

[Very interesting... even if Firepaw isn't completely sure what to do with the information.]
Um... since you both know about Pokemon could you tell me more about evolution? I know a little bit about how it works in my world... or at least how I think it does... but it's very different in this world, right?
video;
he will, however, get a faint flicker of ... unhappiness? unease? discomfort? something vaguely in that sphere of things before it's quickly nipped in the bud. his speaking tone doesn't reflect the stumble at all: ]
We're twins. But we ended up different. Yup. No more explanation for it than you have.
[ they don't even have the answers as to why they're here, much less that. ]
Litten can evolve twice. It is like a transformation? Verrrry significant changes, generally. You in specific will end up much bigger, gain a secondary type, and end up walking on two feet if you choose to evolve fully.
