[ There seem to be two Pokemon on this dispatch! You get a sense of both a Hisuian Typhlosion AND a Hisuian Zoroark, though the perspective is a little dizzying before settling down into (mostly) one psychic perspective. The Typhlosion's, probably; it's mostly his perspective with a vague sense of what he thinks he looks like now. Psychic pearls are hard, who knew? ]

Good afternoon, fellow passengers! I am Ingo, and this is Emmet - my brother.

[ So so smooth, it comes so naturally to introduce someone as his family member! ]

We are both from a world with Pokemon originally! We were humans there, and I'm afraid we do not have any idea how this might have happened - this is not the sort of thing that is supposed to be possible! But we would like to offer our help in navigating these new tracks! Between the two of us, we can help to identify your species and typing, as well as other facts about your new forms! We are also both very familiar with Pokemon battling! If you wish to learn to fight, we can provide assistance! I'm very excited to have battles in this new way, and the more people who can participate, the more fun it will be!

[ Emmet, it seems, is a man of much fewer words than his brother! At least when they're in the same space, anyway. His address is also smooth, very smooth, picking up after Ingo's like clockwork.

... for those who have already met them both and / or have heard at least some amount of their circumstances already, isn't there some kind of explanation missing? Oh well, must not be important. ]

Hm? Oh. Huh! ... Closest idea is ... littermates? Does that make sense?

But yes. It can be drastic, sometimes! Other times not so much. Two examples:

[ and here the connection changes from what he's seeing alone to also try to include mental images of the names he's mentioning, whatever that looks like on the other end, ]

Purrloin to Liepard is not a terribly big change! It gets bigger, the legs longer. Overall a stronger, larger, faster form, but nothing like having to adjust to a different method of movement.

And then you have things like bug types, who transform more significantly. Or Deino, who grows more heads and also wings.

Woah... a cat that can turn into a leopard... Pokemon are very different from the animals back home. I think I'm lucky that I turned into something close to what I already was.

I can think of a few Pokemon that would need a lot of adjustment, yup.

[ Imagine being a Gastly. You are now a floating ball of gas. Feels like you'd want to speedrun evolving to Haunter as fast as possible just to have hands again... ]

That's true - I'd hate to turn into a Ribombee.

[Is Ribombee gonna hear this? He sure hopes not.]

Hmm. Yes. Flying seems like a lot of work. Especially at that size.

[ Small mercies that they get to keep all of their feet firmly on the ground. ]

Sooo.... if I wanted to turn bigger, what would I have to do? And, I guess, what do I do if I don't want to?

[He's only assuming the answer is different from how animals in his world get bigger.]

Generally, through experience in battle and getting stronger. There are some species that require specific items or conditions, but unless things are different here you are not one of them.

You do not have to evolve, to be clear. It is not exactly something I have ever gone through myself so I do not know how it feels from that side, but...

[ first being human, and then showing up here fully evolved to begin with... ]

There is a kind of special stone where I come from. An Everstone. One of its uses is to prevent an accidental or unwanted evolution, as long as the Pokémon carries it. You might be able to find one here, or something similar.

An Everstone... hrmm. Maybe it would be a good idea to find one. At least, until I make a decision about evolving.

[Because he's definitely going to be battling and getting stronger, but he honestly thinks he's already a perfect Pokemon.]

It cannot hurt to at least try to look for one! And if you do decide you want to evolve in the end, all you have to do is not keep it on you anymore.

I will say. It is only your final stage that ends up on two feet. If you evolve only once, you get a little bigger and bulkier. But still stay on four legs.

That does seem nice... but I probably can't turn back, right? Being a Litten feels very comfortable, I'm not sure if I'd like being something much larger.

[A pause.]

I guess I don't have to worry that much right now. I won't evolve for a while, right?

Unless something is verrrry different here, no. You cannot turn back. A normal evolution cannot be reversed. Form changes can, but those are different.

[ beat. ]

You do not have a form change. Most of us that I've seen do not, actually.

[ there's technically the Mimikyu, but also that is still a kind of weird thing to call an entire form. that's what it's listed as, though, so. sure. ]

You will probably not have to worry about it for a while. Evolution shouldn't happen until ... it isn't the same as growing or maturing, because a Pokemon can live their entire lives without doing it. But it isn't unlike it either?

I think that makes sense.

[It doesn't entirely, but he's a kitten who's been spending a lot of time trying to learn about the world. Most things feel just a little bit outside of his grasp.]
