Greetings. This is Akechi. I realize that this transformation may be a bit alarming, but I thought it best to announce my recent evolution so that no one believes I've disappeared.

This new form is far more suitable, though I wish it hadn't been so overdue. Still, it seems that being put into highly dangerous situations is one way to provoke evolution.

I suppose this does bring up a curious question, though. To evolve, or not to evolve. For me, it was a no brainer, but others may be less enthused about changing their physical forms yet again. Evolution is, after all, irreversible.

So humor me. Do you wish to evolve, or are you content as you are?

If I recall correctly, you should gain the dragon type when you evolve. That ought to bring some new advantages, but colder regions will be especially hazardous.

I have to admit...it's hard to imagine going from a bird to a dragon. There's still so much I have to learn about pokemon, I suppose! How did you learn all of this?

Research, mostly. I've perused the Archives on many occasions, and I've drawn my own conclusions from field work and observations in town. A dash of questioning here and there, and I have a decent baseline.

[Heh... He can't deny that the added praise is doing wonders for his ego, really.]

I figured it was pertinent to learn type matchups, as you never know what threats will arise on missions.

Oh, that's a great idea! Even being here awhile, having managed to learn so much is really incredible! I'm a little inspired...maybe I'll start going to the Archives to study, myself. It's always best to be prepared!

If you can, I recommend finding an ally in the Lum Berries to act as an escort. You'll have more freedom to peruse the Archives that way, rather than being limited in your selection.

[That's always bothered Akechi, really. It feels classist in a way that reminds him far too much of his old "employers."

Do they restrict the availability of archival materials depending on what guild you're apart of?

[Now, Neige is of course not one to be critical or judgmental, but he does sound surprised by this.]

I suppose if that's where the guild's base is located, it's a bit more understandable, but...that sort of information seems like the kind that everyone should have open and equal access to...

There are sections open to public perusal and others more restricted to the guild itself. With supervision from a guild member, you can generally access the more exclusive material.

It's simply irritating in that it further emphasizes Polteageist's elitism, which is already insufferable on its own.
