[This is a bit of a struggle, but Firepaw is doing his best. A very under-sized Litten is trying to put himself in frame, but he's a little awkwardly close.]

Um... hello. Can everyone hear me? My name is Firepaw, I'm- I was an apprentice of ThunderClan. Oh- and I used to be a cat, before I came here. A lot of you know me already, but... yes.

[Just going by his voice, it's pretty clear he's a kitten. Public speaking feels incredibly bad, even without a visible crowd.]

A few of you Twolegs - humans - have four legs now, and I wanted to offer help with getting used to that. I can teach you how to hunt and fight, or at least step lightly. I don't know much about our new powers, but we might be able to practice those together too. I can also help with learning different scents, since I think humans can't smell as well as cats, or... Pokemon. That might make gathering herbs and berries easier, too.

[One more thing which... feels like blasphemy for a cat, but he needs to do it.]

And... if anyone knows how to swim, I think I'd like to learn. If another storm comes with new folk, I want to be able to help them get to shore.

Yes - I actually didn't noticed I'd changed for a while, after I got to shore.

[He's not gonna mention how much he panicked when his fur changed color, that seems insensitive.]

Cats are like Littens, but we have smaller eyes and larger muzzles, and we come in all sorts of colors. It seems like a lot of humans here haven't seen one before.

[He sends over a mental image of his Clan - a collection of about 25 cats, all different colors and many of them sporting scars or notched ears. It also looks like they're living in a much more tribal situation than the Bottlecap Bay Pokemon, with dens made out of woven bush branches and a large pile of dead prey in one corner of the clearing.]

Oh, my. That is quite fascinating! You would never see such a wide variety of coat colors in a group of Pokemon! There's a little, yes, and sometimes one is born very different, but most other Litten will also be black with red stripes.

I think cats are pretty unique - most animals I know look the same as each other. Except for humans, but they change their pelts every day. Um... I think you call that 'clothing'?

[He beams over a few more pictures - mice, squirrels, thrushes and robins. Most of them are freshly killed, but a few of them are views from afar, right before attempting to pounce on them.]

I've heard dogs look different from each other too - those are like.. Mightyena, I think. But I've only seen a few dogs.

[Ingo doesn't seem bothered by the random animal gore!]

Hm! There are Pokemon similar to some of those creatures, as well! Not quite the same, though...

[Oh good, it will be a pattern! Trust a cat to be very interested in the sight of dead prey animals.]

Oh yeah - do you think there are Pokemon like that that I can hunt? Hopefully... ones that don't talk.

I...am not sure how such things might work here. Pokemon certainly hunt one another where I am from, but they also do not all live in villages together like this...

[He really fails to see how this society could even function if half the Pokemon were preying on the other half, but there certainly are both prey and predator species living here together...]

I guess that makes sense. Where I'm from, only cats can speak - I think humans speak to each other, but it's just nonsense words. Being able to talk to the birds and mice here feels... well, it makes it feel wrong to hunt them.

[Even if they still smell and sound exactly like food. It's been very difficult.]

Yes, I hunt and fish for Pokemon at home, but...I do not think I could do it here, even if it is somehow socially acceptable.

[Plenty of them probably require some meat in their diet, though...]

I guess for some Pokemon, they don't get a choice in whether they hunt other animals. I've been eating other things since I got here, but meat tastes better than anything else.

[He contemplates it for a while, but he's going to have to keep thinking about this for a while.]

Maybe I'll just stick to eating the freshkill- er, the meat that's already dead, for now.
