[A very confused Charmeleon looks into the pearl, anxiously fidgeting. It seems he's outside, near one of the voting booths, but has yet to take a spot in line.]

Maaaa... They want us to vote, but how do we know who to vote for? Some of the Pokémon are really nice, or they seem super smart, but we can only pick one.

But Guilmon doesn't know who to pick. Ribombee probably wants me to pick Lurantis, but some people say Lurantis is mean sometimes. And Malamar's super smart and said a lot of important things, but Oricorio wants to help the ghosts...

[He pauses, grunting.]

But I think he only likes ghosts, so that might not be fun for anyone else...

I bet Takato would know what to do.

Though, if they keep finding new places to make into bases, they'll likely keep doing it this way.

Do you think they'll want to make more bases?

[That seems like a lot of work, but maybe it's because there are a lot of places they need to explore? Hmm...]

I wonder how the wild Pokémon will feel about that...

The more that gets explored, the more likely there will be more bases.

[ It just seems like the natural progression now that they've pushed so far with getting more numbers. ]

They probably won't like it too much, it depends if they see a benefit, or just preferred things as they were before.

Maybe the guilds should ask first? It'd be better than trying to take their homes...

[Oricorio did seem to feel similarly, but he still only cares about ghosts...]

Sounds like a question for the leaders? They're the ones who do the "asking" after all.

[That sounds smart. He nods along, not really questioning it.]

I wonder if Ribombee likes getting asked questions.

If he put himself in that position he would have to answer questions whether or not he liked it. Don't worry about that...

[ Which is something to be said for everyone else doing the campaigning nonsense go round, probably. ]

So maybe Guilmon should ask more questions...

Guilmon also has to learn how to find the answers, too. And sometimes it's okay to not worry about everything else.

[It's something he's noticed, but it's hard to know how to feel.]

I wonder how many questions Ribombee has answers to. Someone else told Guilmon he was "buttering" me up, and not in the fun bread way.

Anyone might do something like that at any time. At the end of the day you just have to work with what happens.

Maybe Ribombee just wants attention because he's small and it's harder for people to take you seriously when you're small. Guilmon's seen lots of Digimon act like that!

Some people can have a problem with that.

[ She's small now, certainly, but it doesn't really bother her the same way. Her annoyance is just the difference in not really feeling like herself, hence not even using her name. At least not around most people. ]

But either way, a lot of people believed in him for him to get where he is. So it might not be as big a deal as some others are making it out to be. Who can say? Maybe they just want power of their own, too.

[ She honestly doesn't care in so much that he isn't someone like. Belialvamedemon. At least, not yet. Mostly, she's just working to just be doing something with the time. ]

Maybe. Guilmon doesn't know enough about how things work to know how Ribombee got where he is...

[History is... a lot, and it's not something Guilmon has really absorbed in general. He usually just lives in the moment.]

I still think he should let all the rooms have roofs, though.

Probably. But others could have spoken up before now too.

[ It was a little telling that most of the questioning came from outsiders. ]

Or they haven't been set up long enough to really plan ahead.

I wonder how old this place is, though. Oricorio knew about the city, but not the guilds...

Eh, who knows? The city could have been here for a while, the guilds probably starting coming together a little later when they thought it would be better to organize since they prioritize different things. The Lums have their clinic and archives, so they probably got started first. Then the Cheri probably thought that supporting others was better to do with their abilities to scout and gather resources. And then Oran took up on the guarding. Of course they pick and choose who they see fit, but maybe they were more disorganized at the start.

Maybe... The Archives might have stuff, but Guilmon isn't sure. I'm not used to reading, but maybe it'd be good to try?

We would need somebody in Lum to go along, so maybe see if Emporio-kun will go with us.
