[A very confused Charmeleon looks into the pearl, anxiously fidgeting. It seems he's outside, near one of the voting booths, but has yet to take a spot in line.]

Maaaa... They want us to vote, but how do we know who to vote for? Some of the Pokémon are really nice, or they seem super smart, but we can only pick one.

But Guilmon doesn't know who to pick. Ribombee probably wants me to pick Lurantis, but some people say Lurantis is mean sometimes. And Malamar's super smart and said a lot of important things, but Oricorio wants to help the ghosts...

[He pauses, grunting.]

But I think he only likes ghosts, so that might not be fun for anyone else...

I bet Takato would know what to do.

But Guilmon heard all the Lum Berry rooms are nicer. You get ceilings!

I don't think you all should be accepting a lack of ceilings. We may look like it, but we're not animals.

[ She doesn't mean it to be offensive against the native Pokemon. Odile would argue that they also are generally all living under roofs! But, mostly she just hasn't realized it could come off badly? ]

Guilmon doesn't like it!

[He pouts. It's not very fun, especially as a fire type.]

That's why Guilmon tried to make a roof, but making a roof is hard... Then, when Guilmon asked Ribombee why new Cheri Berries got roofs, he said he was trying to do better but was proud of Guilmon's work.

[It still feels wrong, though. Something didn't sit right, and that unease leaks into his thoughts.]

[ Compliments to try and distract from his own failings. How miserably predictable. Odile's sort of annoyed on this kid's behalf; this is a kid, she thinks? ]

[Guilmon lifts an arm, frowning.]

No. Guilmon doesn't have butter on him...

[ A short, sharp bark of startled laughter. ]

No. It means that he's flattering you, so you'll forget to be upset about what he's done.

Hey, wait! If he does that, isn't that kind of bad?

Leaders shouldn't do stuff like that...

[He huffs. No, that's bad.]

But Guilmon isn't sure what to do. He's in charge and Guilmon isn't, and Guilmon doesn't want to cause problems.

Well, if you're looking to stir up trouble, you'll have to find some like minds. And maybe take it off this very public...psychic forum.

But trouble's bad too... Guilmon doesn't like the sound of that.

[But she's right that the pearls are psychic. Sometimes he forgets about that.]

Yeah! When we met, he wanted Guilmon to go out and scare people for... Takato didn't like that, but I guess Impmon really likes pranks.
