[It's no surprise that Fireheart is feeling ashamed, after he overworked himself into a coma for a month and a half. And after nearly everyone who knows him has been telling him for months to take it easy... he is finally starting to listen. A little.]
So... there's a few things I want to talk about. But the most important one, is, well- I've got a warrior name now. When we were sending out those boats, I saw- Bluestar, my old Clan's leader.
[He only knew her for a short time, a lifetime ago, but there's still a somber tone in his voice. ThunderClan was where he thought he belonged for a long time, after all. ThunderClan has been on his mind less and less every day, but having his adult name still means a lot.]
She called me Fireheart. So... that's what I'd like everyone to call me. Firepaw was a kitten name, so... it's good to feel like an adult, properly.
[He wavers a little before continuing... he really should have rehearsed this a little.]
I'm going to cut down on my work, and... I think I'm done hanging around the Clinic for a while. So I'll be focusing on recovering this month, and then running messages for the senior Cheri members for a bit. Staying in the city, for the most part, unless someone needs me.
[He said 'month' instead of 'moon'... and doesn't seem to have noticed it.]
I think that's everything. And, if anyone needs to talk, after... Froslass... I'm happy to listen.

Ah, Ribombee, that's... [ Well, for Fireheart, Ribombee would probably be willing to. The former has been an important part of the guild since he arrived, after all. ] Yeah, that should work! It might not be the same as home, but we can make it our own here, right? Start a new tradition, all together!
[ Speaking of traditions. The memories are hazy and quick, but Laios let's himself settle into them while he can. The struggle, the exhiliaration, the triumph — Fireheart has every reason to be so proud. The Boltund bristles from the chills of hearing the clan yowl in unison. ]
Fireheart... you must've felt like you were on top of the world. Bluestar saw something amazing in you, didn't she?
[ He is, of course, going to take this at face value. An established member of a pack would challenge a young newcomer. Makes sense to him! ]
Oh, wait — does this mean you'll need to challenge me before the naming ceremony too? That'll be something...

[It's been months, but the memory still makes his chest fur puff up with pride.
Although the question gives him pause, while he thinks it over.]
Longtail wasn't my mentor, he was just a younger warrior that didn't want me to join. So... I guess we should open it up to everyone, let someone challenge you if they want to.
[He can't imagine anyone has an issue with Laios... but Pokemon battles aren't really about settling disputes, this can just be completely for fun.]
Maybe Umemiya? He's about your size, so it would be fair.

Oh! I guess that would make more sense. It'd even the battle field too... Heh. I'm not sure how well I'd do against you!
[ Size difference aside, Fireheart has been here a bit longer than both him and Umemiya. He knows better than to overlook that. ]
You know, I haven't had a chance to spar with Umemiya yet actually. I bet he'd like that, and I know he won't go easy on me either.
