[AUDIO] - The Clinic
[Emporio holds his pearl with care, making sure not to project much of a video image. The mental audio is best here he thinks, if at least because of what he's 'talking' about.
...
With difficulty, but he's trying to keep those feelings out of the transmission as well.]
Everyone- Uh. I need you to know that Guildmaster Ribombee brought Firepaw in today. ...He found him outside his office door, with a report in his jaws.
...Firepaw was. ...Was working really hard the last little while. He was down here so many times that Anasui and I had to pull him out more than once to try and get him to sleep, but.
[Distantly, one might actually make out the sounds of the Espartha cursing. Anyone who actually knows the bird can tell that he's upset.
But not in an 'angry' way.
Emporio presses on.]
...I'd say I'd hope he can get some rest for a bit now, but after what happened to A.B.A...
...Well. We'll all be taking turns looking after him with the others. But please. Just... ...Look after yourselves too. Don't push it.
[The connection ends.]

[oh!]
D- Don't worry about that..!! I'm actually pretty careful about that kind of schedule... ...Honestly it's kind of weird being able to have these kinds of options. Most of my life at home was spent reading and hiding.
[There is a brief wave of loneliness with that- no doubt that was the predominant feeling of the time.] Anyway... I'm pretty sure Anasui would put me on his back and float any tablets or tools out of reach if I started overdoing it.
no subject
Ugh, why was she thinking about that- ]
You were isolated and now spend your time helping everyone else... have you overdone anything before to warrant it, or do you still play very close to that edge~?
no subject
[Hey Emporio why was there a visual of a literal PRISON before you took your hand off the pearl???
...Well it's probably fine. Maybe.
That was an adult prison!!!Hand returned, Emporio seems at least mostly calm.] I'm pretty good at not overdoing it. Doing nothing but reading was more for a lack of anything to do, before. And working here actually started with being stuck here too, [he adds with a small laugh.] Dr. Denne didn't want me doing anything strenuous after I was puled form the ocean. I started coming here for regular lessons after I recovered.
So right now, I'm actually on 'shift'. ...I don't have as many work hours as others in the Guild though. I've assumed because of my age?
...They don't really tell me what to do with my spare time, but I at least try to find things to do that wouldn't be work...
[Playing is hard when you're not used to the option.]
no subject
So, what else do you do? All you've mentioned was reading and working. Those quests might also be considered work, you know...
[ ... Says the workaholic who works to avoid dealing with ~feelings~, but it's so much easier to point that out in other people! And... she's navigating this empathy thing. It's probably fine. ]

[It's hard to pick up on, but the longer this conversation goes on, the better Emporio seems to feel. It's a good distraction from what happened, honestly.]
...beyond that, it's been nice to walk around the town and the outskirts. I try not to go into the woods too far to be safe though, and I can't really risk getting in the water...
...I'm able to play in the sand at least. It's been neat learning how to play volleyball.

[ Sculpting...? Digging? Certainly quite a few expressed interest in that. Though she wasn't quite certain how well it would work for longer term. Adapting was key to not being bored. Probably. It wasn't her problem, this was just an exercise in productive thinking, clearly. ]
You could also try a mud bath for relaxing... if that isn't something that would cause an issue due to water being involved.
no subject
[not the football vs football struggle-] But maybe I could start up baseball here somehow?
...Oh!
[A small wave of surprise.]
...I actually didn't think of a mud bath. That...might offset the water enough, actually.
no subject
You could create some new version of it altogether, if you don't want to be fussy about rules.
[ That's just Calvinball, Archnemon- more importantly, she's actually more focused on the spa-inclined thought. ]
Right~? They're also known for therapeutic properties, which may also be beneficial in your case.

[The thought is, naturally, accompanied with the relatively monotonous sight. One could fall asleep to that.]
I'd kind of given up on being able to enjoy those kinds of things, but if this works that changes everything...there are actually hot springs in the Spire I heard, so I was kind of sad about missing out. But this means there's a shot at some warm mud too then!

[ With the sights she's glimpsing, she's quickly understanding how likely it was he didn't think of the possibility either. Isolation, huh... yeah, she could see that. ]
Accepting defeat in one area just means looking for the next opportunity. You'll probably have to do some tests to figure out the balance, but you're a smart kid, right~?
no subject
...I guess...I'm a little worried about how it'll be taken?
[There is, in fact, a decent amount of worry...no, wait, is that guilt? Why would-]
...A lot of the others are quadrupedal...
[oh the hands thing
Well, it's nicer to think about mud baths, in any case.]
Heh. You're right! Th-though I should probably run it by the doctor so that I don't get a lecture...
no subject
[ Which really went for both parts of the conversation. ]
I'm sure you could think of some creative ways to get it to work. Might be more of a teamed effort.
[ Why is she investing so much thought into baseball? It's not so much an interest as it is a puzzle. Not like she's trying to help him be less sad or anything. ]
no subject
Well. I guess I'll find someone to ask once I'm off duty then. It'll be a good distraction!
[Hey, one way or another, it's working! ...The. Coating of sad doesn't leave, but there's at least good feelings under there??]
no subject
[ Mission...? Accomplished? Don't worry about it. ]
