[ Perrin is still suffering from the nightmares, mind you, with this being the last day of them. So that's why this message first goes out quite late at night. Oddly enough, the message seems quite focused, though. Perrin knows how to handle his brain. But his voice is choppy, each word practiced. There's also a slight echo. (In real life, he is saying each word out loud before saying it in telepathy.) ]
--didn't know being a psyker was something technology could help with. Which is pretty impressive.
I know those were real people. Pokemon? Those guys who vanished. It's not like when I see people and then I'm the only one seeing them.
I know the doctor said they'd keep records, but we should too. Keep our own, I mean - and we can also figure out if there's a connection between us. First thing's first.
Where are you all from? I've heard that not all of you are American. Or from the same time as me - oh, that's right. I'm from the year 2281. [ Oops, his thoughts are spiraling. He's not saying this part out loud in real life, anymore. And sounding more casual. ] You know, it's pretty fascinating to meet people who are pre-War. I would have thought you would have been a lot weirder, but you're just like me. Without the survival instints, I mean. I wonder if it's true that people were just the same, and it was the governments and corporations that wanted to mess stuff up. Oh, but they didn't cause the Resource Wars, the lack of resources did... sometimes wish I'd read more up on history. I mean, pre-War history. Not just shit that happened near to me.
[ He seems to have forgotten this is telepathy and his thoughts are being broadcast for a while. Until-- ] Oh. Right. So I'm gonna be keeping a list of us. Uh, in a book. We don't have terminals here, and terminals could get messed up if some of the electricity messed up or if we forgot the password. And I'm not the best hacker. I'm also not the best at lockpicking, honestly.
So! Guess this is me asking about your home and what year you're from!
[[ This post can also be used as a mingle post, if wanted! The OOC post for the record keeping is here. Perrin will let anybody check it out, which is why he hasn't listed his real name in it. ]]

...Either way, you do still have that memory now.
[It's for RS, those words, but it's still worth noting in general perhaps.]

[ A hint of humor returning to him. He feels oddly like he removed some sort of heavy backpack he hadn't noticed he was carrying? Still exhausted, but the atmosphere's less oppressive. Weird. ]
Writing things down is a good idea. ...Using stone might be better for the finalized records though.
[ Paper fragile! ]

I remember them as screaming in endless pain. If they got to exist somewhere... maybe they'd actually get a chance to... stop hurting.
I suppose what I want can't change anything at this point though.

If I'd not chosen paper first, it would have been a hell of a thing to scratch out any mistakes. First drafts are important, in letters and in records. These claws are fucked up, though.

[He's looking at you Ötzi....keep on keeping on you funky murdered alps-man....]
...I guess that's the difference for people who believe in somewhere 'after', really, [he finishes a bit quietly.
Maybe they'd be better off talking about something other than the dead. Like, paper and stone and writing.]
Mnnh, that's a good point though. ...Maybe we should ask if there's a slate and some chalk we can use? Then it'd be reusable, easy to clear and redo mistakes...

Compared to how many murders happen? It's not statistically likely...
[ But that's neither here nor there. ]
Mn, slate might be easier for you to use at this stage; I agree early drafts are important, but like you said, your claws...

What do you think of 'im, by the way?

[Bro he grew up in a prison, he knows about how much goes under the radar-]
Oh, yeah. Polteageist might know something... ...I think we're the only three that were picked out of the group of 'not-technically-pokemon' to join, actually.
[A Beat. And-]
...I like him. He's definitely someone with his own plans, but he's honest about them- and at the very least, the end goal is keeping this town going.
[He likes that.]

Mn, Polteageist's both smart and sensible - and direct as well, a far less common combination than it could be... Got that vibe of being someone you can really work with, but who isn't going to keep you on a leash either.

[ And a bit fucked up, but Perrin doesn't just say that. ]

[He's a bit confused now!] He told me a little about how the town was founded anyway, which was interesting to know. It's kind of like a refugee colony, actually.

[ The Ring-Spirit's amused by the idea of anyone considering him a "reliable sort" - but especially anyone who strikes him as canny as Polteageist does... if he had to guess, there's a different thread they all share in common.
He's intrigued by Emporio's addition though. ]
Oh? His approach with me was more of a business offer... didn't talk about the town. Did he tell you what they're refugees from?
