[The grumpearl projects an image and this time it's of A.B.A, her chimeric form sprawled across one of Oran's many beds. She looks tired, more than usual, and especially for someone who's been out of commission for a couple of months.]

...It would appear that I've fallen ill. I'm...disappointed in myself, I don't fall ill, I'm supposed to be better than that. I survive, I rise, I'm supposed to be filled with potential. ...It's this body, it's weak, even now it's weak. Mightyena was kind enough to allow me back into the guild, and that's where I'll continue to recover. It feels bad... I feel bad...

...I was aware throughout most of it, at least...I think I was. A lot of it amalgamated with my thoughts, swirling, like a dream. ....I know some of you were there, although it's possible that was also part of the dream. You should tell me if you were actually there or not, s-so I know what the reality really was. Please say you were there...

Before I succumbed, a very rude mongoose was able to tell me what my Pokémon species is called. She called it Type: Full. I like that...

[Although her name is pounced more like "Abba," let's be real, she WOULD somehow still make it come off as an acronym through the psychic connection. You can just feel those periods. She likes them. She wants people to know they're there.

But it still leads to this same awkward question.

If A.B.A had a lip to bite, she'd be doing it right about now. Instead, she catches a stray strand of hair??? feathers?? in her beak and starts to chew on it nervously.]

Are you some kind of... experiment? [It's a bit of a logical leap, but he's also projecting.]

[Huh, interesting... A.B.A doesn't recognize this lab. So...then, this is obviously a mental image coming from him. Curious...]

That's right, I'm a homunculus. I'm the culmination of years of research, a pinnacle of science. My potential is greater than any human's.

[Wow, he thinks (but not unhappily), another freak! This place sure is crawling with them!]

[Somehow, A.B.A finds a way to make the space in the psychic connection feel real small as she somehow manages to push her face even closer to his. Her eyes are wide in what is hopefully delight, the smile on her beak even more so.]

Is that true?! Do you really mean this?! For what purpose were you made for? What tests did they put you through?! Mhmhmhm~ Tell me everything!

Normally, he isn't so forthcoming with information like this... buuuuut, it seems like it will lead to an interesting outcome, so screw it.] It's true, honest! It's not as interesting as I'm sure your story is, though. The royal scientist injected Determination- uh, a certain power that humans have- into a flower. I was meant to absorb the souls of monsters and eventually humans, too, but the experiment didn't exactly work as planned...

[A.B.A might see a momentary flash of the amalgamates- horrific fusions of monsters created by injecting them with too much Determination.]

I see... Curious... I wonder what reasons they would've had to want to absorb souls in the first place... And why a flower? They're not very mobile... Perhaps the element of surprise? Leading foes into a field only to have their souls absorbed before they realize what's happening to them... Gruesome...

[The amalgamates don't seem to bother A.B.A much. If anything, a sort of pleasant, humming feeling radiates in the feed. Like she finds them...cute.]

I wonder if it's a pattern... Civilizations directing their attention towards bioweapons...

Heh, well... that's a long story. I sure would hate to bore you! [If A.B.A realizes that he's more of a lab accident than a true homunculus, she might lose interest.]

I bet you're way more interesting! Are you a 'bioweapon', yourself? You did say your potential was greater than any human.

[He's pleasantly surprised and still a little intimidated-- at first, he thought A.B.A was just some sniveling girl who fell into a coma.] Me, you could say I was a weapon. If I absorbed all the souls of the monsters, I could've set monsterkind free from their prison. And if I absorbed the souls of the humans... the humans who were left would pay. Hee hee.

[A.B.A is too distracted to answer any questions about herself, how can she not be? Freeing someone, anyone from their prison?

It's the best thing anyone can possibly be~ A shame you don't take on the traditional shape, you'd be perfect otherwise, but a key can take on many forms. Mhm... How wonderful...

... Ooookay, you're starting to freak me out, lady. [He finds himself scrambling to find the 'end call' button on this thing. Maybe he should have just let A.B.A keep wanting to kill him.] I'm outta here!
