[Nestled up in his and Ren's room, with his conspiracy wall proudly on display off to the side, Akechi addresses the Pearl with a fluffy blanket wrapped around him. No, it is not cute. Hush.]

Recently, Furfrou went missing. Odile-san, Dolly-san, and I went out to rescue them, and I noticed something all too familiar.

[He draws a breath, slow and soft.]

Whilst we were searching, the intrusive thought, 'They're going to leave me behind!' crept into my mind, and presumably those of my teammates. Moreover, we found Furfrou unconscious, just as what happened before with Zweilous and Phantump.

Given the pattern, I'm certain other groups experienced similar events. I believe it worth sharing our findings, so we can better document this phenomenon and perhaps gain a better understanding.

Those intrusive thoughts in particular seem worthy of cataloguing. It's hardly the first time they've arisen on missions.

It's the simplest explanation, though by no means is it the only possibility. There are many aspects of this world we've yet to understand, after all.

[But still... Beings of such great power exist. There's precedent.]

[That's the frustrating part! What can they do with such a nebulous threat? A ripple of irritation permeates his thoughts.]

Being impatient is the kinda attitude that doesn't get you anywhere. [ gotta jump on the opportunity or forever squander it. ] It'll happen. Can't imagine such a force wouldn't show itself eventually.

Besides, we ought to be focusing on helping the people here. I get that we wanna go home, but we do owe it to these folks. Even if it means rescuing the.. same Furfrou... six times... [ she pulls a face at that. ]

You know, that gives me an idea...

[He even cracks a wry smirk.]

Furfrou is listed on the board again. If Ren and I pursue them anew, we may be able to gather further evidence.

[ parvati's not going to knock his intentions too hard, but it does seem like he cares less about actually assisting furfrou than he does about the whole. conspiracy thing. so long as furfrou is safe it shouldn't matter. ]

[Akechi shrugs. Really, it's worth it f or the data.]

Data is data, however. The more we know, the better we can make sense of these incidents.

I reckon it'd be worth lookin' into how they escaped the Clinic multiple times without being caught. Maybe into whoever gave the haircuts, too.

[ she knows the clinic volunteers aren't grossly negligent. they're doing their best, and are the best sawbones the bay have got. still. worth a check. ]

None of them actually saw how the Pokémon escaped. They simply vanished without explanation.

Obviously. But, if the patients merely disappeared, then we must assume that there is some ability at play. Something that defies their perception in some manner...

I can't simply turn a blind eye, but obviously, I intend to be cautious in my investigations.
